On a balmy Summer night
The boys and girls were sound asleep,
The stars were oh so bright.
The friendly outback creatures
An Echidna, Koala, Cockatoo,
Dance among the gum trees
In their festive hullabaloo.
And whilst the children dream and sleep
Little do they know,
That St. Nick is on his journey
Through Sand, and Wind and Snow.
Come morning time we'll gather 'round
In the sweltering southern weather,
"Making gravy", "Six white boomers"
We'll dance and sing together.
